Hi All,
I have got an RFE for my I-485 application. . I missed to complete a question (part3 and question #10) in I-485 form for which I got a request for evidence letter from USCIS. Can anyone has any template on how i should reply. Your help is much appreciated . Thanks in advance

Question # 10: Are you under a final order of Civil Penalty for violating section 274C of the immigration and Nationality Act for use of
fraudulent documents or by fraud or willful misrepresentation of a material fact, ever sought to procure, or procured, a visa, other documentation, entry into the United States or any immigration benefit.
Therefor submit an affidavit with your answer to this question a 'Yes' or 'No' response.

Am currently on F1 - OPT status (stem OPT). Been working as a volunteer intern for past few months. Currently one of start-up company is interested in hiring me but they do not have a legal department and also not enough resources to apply for H1B. I offered to pay for my H1B fees, but they have no idea how to go about this.
Can anyone please tell how do i go about this? What kind of lawyer should i approach , what information will i need from the company, how much money does all this involve.
The other option is start working for this company , get H1 done through a consultant and transfer the H1b, again this involves legal dept which neither me nor the company has any idea. Please advise .
My OPT is valid until Dec 2011.

I am sure that IV core team organizes events and actions pretty well. I know there are usually action items that get posted on IV.
How about thinking about the action items in a different perspective. For any event/action, create a task force. Ofcourse that may have been what is done as of now. But all am saying is create a taskforce every action/event to be organized at different levels vi.z, IV Core, IV State, IV Local and create a menu item called TaskForce on the main page. Anyone who is interested in a particular event or action would get in touch with the taskforce team.
Not sure if it makes sense but just a thought of coining a different name for the action items with assigned roles and ability to contact easily.

b) the existence of ImmigrationVoice.org to fight this evil
The NJ team has taken the initiative to make more people aware of the situation our organization. As part of this initiative, the NJ team will be distributing flyers to visitors of the Bridgewater temple today starting at 11.30 am.
If you would like to participate in activities like this, please feel free to start a thread for your state/district and other volunteers can pitch in

Yes, as long as you have valid AP, you can re-enter and resume working on a valid EAD.

Hi Gurus,
If you look at my signature, My 485 has been transferred to TSC from NSC and AP is still stuck at NSC. I have some emergent situation back home , I have faxed the doctor certificate and called USCIS using POJ method and the guy says it might take another month. wat the *****....tried infopass..my local office doesnt have no more appointments.
My questions:
1. Can I take Infopass appointment anywhere else which is not my local office?
2. Can I apply a new 131 application at TSC as my 485 is there now?
Someone pls advise.

I transfer my H1B to company B and works for company B. Now suppose if I want to go back to company A after six months and want to work for company A, does the h1b transfer required? (means, does company A requires to file whole h1b petition again?) Here my petition (I-797) with company A is still valid. And suppose if I want to go back to company A after 4 years, at that time my petition (I-797) with company A might be expired, does the company A requires to file new petition (tranfer) or just the extension?

The normal process I heard is that they start at the 70 day to complete it by the 90th day. So you can expect it from 70th day onwards.

I am going to complete 6 years on H1-B by 2009 March. When we applied for the H1-B Transfter to my current company last year for some reason I got the extension upto Jan 2010 which is more 6 yrs.
I was on L1 until 2004 Jan for 9 months in the begining and my previous company converted L1 to H1 in Jan 2004.
My question is do I need apply H1-B extension on approved I-140 to get 3 more years extension as 2010 Jan will be my 7th year on H1-B ? OR I can wait upto current transfered H1 - B approval validity?
Please advise.
